John Isner v Kevin Anderson Head to Head
Isner and Anderson have met 13 times during the course of their professional careers. The American holds a commanding 8-5 lead, but the pair have not locked horns on the tour since that epic Wimbledon semifinal from 2018.

Isner Graces Dallas With His Presence
There is not an inaugural ATP event in the US without John Isner making his presence felt. After all, Isner is the most decorated American male player of the last decade, having won 14 of his 18 tour-level titles on home soil.
Isner won an ATP title as recently as last season in Atlanta and he enters the 32-man field in the newly-minted Dallas Open as a strong contender to add another trophy in the cabinet.
The 36-year-old started his season in Australia at the ATP Cup. Despite a positive start that saw the USA defeat Canada, it was short-lived, as Isner and Co. made very little impact in subsequent matches and finished bottom of their group.
Isner’s win over Brayden Schnur in singles at the team tournament remains his only match win in 2022. He lost his opening match in Adelaide to Thanasi Kokkinakis in three tie-break sets. Then at the Australian Open, he fell short in a gigantic first-round match against fellow big-server Maxime Cressy.
Having received a bye in his first round, Isner will face a familiar foe on Wednesday. Can the American return to winning ways in front of his home crowd in Dallas?

Anderson Sees Off Querrey
Kevin Anderson will need to overcome a slew of American players if he is to go on a deep run at the inaugural Dallas Open this week.
Anderson produced an accomplished performance – something close to his best tennis – to beat Sam Querrey in his first round. In the process, it is already one American out of the equation as he plans to outsmart John Isner in a rivalry spanning nearly 12 years.
Isner and Anderson were part of an epic Wimbledon semifinal that broke all sorts of tennis stats at the time, and which fuelled the introduction of a final-set tiebreak at the Championships the following year.
The last time these two juggernauts came face to face, they completely obliterated each other. Anderson has just not been the same player and is gradually working on his resurgence. Isner, for his part, is finding it increasingly difficult to maintain a consistent run of results.
Isner v Anderson Prediction and Tip
You can bank on at least one tiebreak set and we reckon this match will likely go the distance – which should be a thrill from a neutral standpoint.
Tip: Three sets in the match: 6/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
