Elena Rybakina v Tereza Martincova Head to Head
Rybakina leads 1-0 at the moment although, that sole victory came back in the 2017 Kremlin Cup qualifying rounds.

Rybakina Finds her Bearings
Elena Rybakina made a strong statement in St. Petersburg on Wednesday as she defeated Varvara Gracheva 6-2, 6-1, in just 58 minutes. The Kazakh won an impressive 95% of the points on the first serve and never gave her opponent a chance to break her service. Moreover, she won eight games in a row and kept her unforced errors count on the low side.
All things considered, it was a commanding performance from the 22-year-old, who recently became the World No. 12.
Rybakina started the year with a runner-up feat in the Adelaide 1 but had to retire from her second-round matches in Sydney and Melbourne owing to a thigh injury. But following a rest period of two weeks, it seems that she has recovered well in time and looks stronger than ever.
Last season, the number three seed couldn’t quite win a title but played consistently enough to move up in the rankings. Her highlights include reaching the quarterfinal in Abu Dhabi and French Open, and the semis in Tokyo Olympics and Eastbourne.

Martincova Outlasts Zvonareva
Tereza Martincova battled past the veteran Russian Vera Zvonareva in the opener with 2-6, 6-1, 6-4. The #42-ranked player needed a little under two hours to beat the former World No. 2, winning 70% of the points behind the first service.
So far this season, she has made it to two doubles finals with Mayar Sherif and Marketa Vondrousova but lost both those matches. On the singles side of things, she fell in the second round in Adelaide 2 and the Australian Open.
Last year, Martincova made some impressive strides on the tour as she reached the top 50 – all the way from the 120s. While she didn’t beat a current top 10 player, the Czech did reach the third round in Dubai (as a qualifier), a quarterfinal in the Birmingham Classic and Ostrava, and the final in Prague where she lost to Barbora Krejcikova.
Rybakina v Martincova Prediction and Tip
Given Martincova’s recent losses on the WTA Tour, it is difficult to imagine her overcoming a player like Rybakina. Expect the third seed to win this one comfortably and reach the next round.
Tip: Rybakina to win 2-0: 11/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
