Andrey Rublev v Soon-woo Kwon Head to Head
This will be their first meeting on the ATP Tour.

Rublev Starts Well
Number two seed Andrey Rublev needed a little over an hour to kickstart his campaign in the Rotterdam Open. He defeated Switzerland’s Henri Laaksonen 6-4, 6-4 with an 82% first-service win rate in a relatively comfortable match.
The Russian, who is the defending champion here, is looking to make amends for his early exit in the Australian Open last month. The 24-year-old easily overcame the likes of Gianluca Mager and Ricardas Berankis but had no answer to Marin Cilic’s superior play in the third round. Rublev succumbed to the Croat 5-7, 6-7(3), 6-3, 3-6.
However, on the whole, the World No. 7 is still much ahead of the majority of his peers on the ATP Tour. Last season, he was a finalist in the Monte-Carlo Masters, Halle Open, and Cincinnati Masters. Rublev was also a semifinalist in the Miami Open and also featured in the ATP Finals.
With this kind of pedigree, he will certainly fancy his chances of delivering a good run in the tournament.

Kwon, Working Hard
24-year-old Soon-woo Kwon is also off to a decent start here, having beaten France’s Hugo Gaston with 6-3, 6-3.
The South Korean has been working hard on the tour and is looking to make waves. The #53-ranked player has already participated in four tournaments this season but has fallen in the second round in all of them.
However, it is worth noting that in the Australian Open, he did give Denis Shapovalov a run for his money by fighting for five gruelling sets. Kwon is certainly a promising player with abilities to punch above his weight.
Last season, he won the Astana Open to lift his first ATP trophy; earlier in the year, he was the champion in the Biella Challenger and a semifinalist in Eastbourne International.
Rublev v Kwon Prediction and Tip
There is no doubt that Rublev will start as the favourite but he may be tested by his opponent. But at the end, he should come out on the top and reach the quarterfinal without any major difficulties.
Tip: Rublev to win: 4/9 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
