Taylor Fritz v Marcos Giron Head to Head
The pair have played each other once before, in the first round of the Miami Masters last year, Fritz winning in straight sets.

Fritz Eases Past Sock
Fritz, who was already in good form before the tournament started, and who enjoyed a bye in the first round, confirmed his status as the top seed with a comfortable win over another American Jack Sock, the world number 147.
He was on top almost from the start, breaking Sock in the fourth game of the match, having seen four earlier break points saved. He then followed that up with another break and consolidated his position after that.
Sock showed a little more fight in the second set, but the inevitable happened – he dropped his serve once more. He did, at least have the satisfaction of saving two match points on his own serve and make Fritz wait for his victory.
However, the outcome of the match was never in doubt.

Giron Forced to Up His Game by Qualifier
Giron has had two relatively kind draws in Dallas so far, beginning with his fellow US Olympian from Tokyo last summer, Tennys Sandgren, who he beat in straight sets.
His second round opponent, the British qualifier Liam Broady, is relatively inexperienced at this level, and was not expected to cause Giron too many problems. However, he was made to work harder than he might have expected to beat the world number 121.
In a first set dominated by serve, it was Giron who made the mistakes, and, having already saved one break point, he could not prevent Broady from converting the second and serving out.
When he then dropped his opening serve of the second set, the American was stung into action, and immediately levelled.
And them he broke the British player again, and, within a few minutes, the match was a all square.
The momentum had shifted decisively in Giron’s favour by this time, and he rattled through the third set for the loss of just one game.
Fritz v Giron Prediction and Tip
Fritz won their only previous match between the two easily last year, and, given the form that he is currently in, he will be confident he can repeat that.
Tip: Fritz to win in straight sets: 8/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
