Stefanos Tsitsipas v Alex De Minaur Head to Head
Tsitsipas and De Minaur have played each other six times at tour-level, with the Greek emerging triumphant in each of those meetings. They played three times last year, as Tsitsipas dropped just one set from seven.

Tsitsipas Routines Ivashka
Stefanos Tsitsipas was expected to encounter his first stumbling block in the Round of 16 when he faced big-hitting Ilya Ivashka. But the Greek dashed off any hopes of an upset, producing probably his best display of the season.
Tsitsipas utilized his all-round game to such great effect, as he left Ivashka bamboozled at times at the sheer quality of his well-timed groundstrokes.
Tsitsipas admitted he had a mental edge over the Belarusian. After wasting a few break points early in the match, the Greek would capitalize on his opponent’s nervousness towards the end of the first set as he broke for the first time.
The second set was one-way traffic. Tsitsipas ceded just one game and overall took one hour and 11 minutes to record a 6-4 6-1 win under the roof.
Tsitsipas’ current run mirrors the exact same form he displayed on these shores last season when he reached the semifinal before losing out to eventual champion Andrey Rublev. However, the draw pits the top two seeds away from going toe-to-toe until the final this year, so could Tsitsipas go all the way?

De Minaur Overcomes McDonald
Alex De Minaur played his match against Mackenzie McDonald on Wednesday and is bound to get 24 hours of rest time before facing Tsitsipas.
De Minaur came through a topsy-turvy encounter against the American, who continues to be a nuisance for seeded players at big tournaments.
The World No. 34 won the first set in a tiebreaker as he used his athleticism to his advantage. But McDonald recovered from that disappointment, breaking De Minaur on two occasions in the second set to force a decider.
And the American World No. 49 continued to go for his shots, pummeling winners from angles to break in the first game of the third set. But that lead was short-lived as De Minaur broke back. And McDonald who was serving second in the deciding set cracked under scoreboard pressure in the tenth game to lose the match.
The Aussie is playing his first tournament of the year outside home territory, having sat out from last week’s Montpellier Open. Can he record his first win in seven attempts against Tsitsipas?
Tsitsipas v De Minaur Prediction and Tip
This looks like an innocuous matchup on paper for Tsitsipas when you take a look at that head-to-head record. But De Minaur ran him pretty close at the BNP Paribas Open last October. I think the Australian will not wilt, but the top-seeded Greek has hit a purple patch this week by the looks of it.
