Andrey Rublev v Soonwoo Kwon Head to Head
Rublev and Kwon met at this year’s Rotterdam Open – their only meeting before this. The Russian won 6-3 6-3 in a Round of 16 match.

Rublev Passes Evans Test
Andrey Rublev knows what it feels like to be on the receiving end of a Dan Evans backhand slice. The Briton had defeated Rublev in each of their last two meetings including a quarterfinal match in Dubai in 2020.
So each time Rublev looked set to power a missile for a clear winner, Evans would completely neutralize it with his world-class backhand that nullifies the pace of the ball and returns it so low that the Russian tends to be caught off guard.
Except that on Tuesday, Rublev was dialed in and was playing with so much confidence after winning his first title of the season in Marseille.
The Russian second seed had a perfect recipe to serve up towards Evans’ slices. He balanced a high-intensity game with clever footwork and aggression. Rublev attacked at will, breaking Evans twice in a one-sided first set.
Evans responded, breaking Rublev for the first time in the match in the third game of the second set. But his momentum was short-lived as the World No. 7 leveled. And deep in the second set, Evans felt enormous pressure serving to stay in the match, getting broken shortly after saving six match points.

Kwon Makes Light Work Of Ivashka
While Rublev was tested, Soonwoo Kwon had a fairly routine 6-3 6-2 win over Ilya Ivashka. The man from Belarus hasn’t played a lot of tennis this year after an apparent leg injury forced him to miss the entire month of January.
And Kwon used his superior athletic ability to his advantage, outmaneuvering Ivashka with his ferocious forehand and limiting the Belarusian to a measly 27% of second-serve points won.
The South Korean No. 1 fashioned seven break points and converted three of them. On his serve, he was near-perfect. The 24-year-old who is looking to build on his breakout year on the ATP tour, rammed seven aces and tallied 80% first-serve points won.
Kwon improved to 7-6 for the year, but he hasn’t advanced beyond the second round of any ATP tournament this season. Will he change that against Rublev?
Rublev v Kwon Prediction and Tip
Kwon is such an astute baseliner, but he is far from a finished article. He hasn’t won back-to-back matches this season, and I doubt he is going to end that sequence on Wednesday against a red-hot Rublev.
Tip: Rublev to win in straight sets: 8/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
