Nick Kyrgios v Sebastian Baez Head to Head
Kyrgios and Baez have no previous history at any level.

Kyrgios Relies On Wild Card Rather Than Ranking
For his antics alone, Nick Kyrgios might be worth a wild card entrant at every ATP tournament. The enigmatic Aussie recently fell outside the world’s Top 100 for the first time in nearly eight years, with many fans questioning Kyrgios’ mindset and motivation regarding his long-term future in the game.
Kyrgios has already responded to such murmurs saying he is unsure how much longer he sees himself in the game. But nonetheless, the focus of attention for the next fortnight will the Indian Wells Masters.
He famously reached the quarterfinals at this tournament in 2017, beating both Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic in the succession before he withdrew from his quarterfinal match against Roger Federer due to injury.
The 26-year-old Kyrgios will be playing in his second tournament of the year and first outside home territory. The World No. 132 lost in the second round in singles at the Australian Open, but enjoyed an incredible run to Grand Slam success in doubles alongside his long-time friend Thanasi Kokkinakis.

Baez Switches To Hard Courts After Golden Swing
There were no titles to show for his efforts during the South American Golden Swing, but Sebastian Baez deserves a special mention for his outstanding run of results in February.
Baez has been tipped as the heir to Juan Martin Del Potro – Argentina’s last Grand Slam champion. The two players are largely distinct in profile and physique, but their will to win is similar. And the 21-year-old Baez came within a few games to win his first ATP title in Santiago last month.
Baeza has made huge strides on the ATP Challenger Tour in the past 18 months. He won six titles at that level last season, and in the process, punched his ticket at the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan. Although hard courts are not his specialty, it might be a matter of time before he makes a full transition at tennis’ fast surfaces.
With 10 match wins on the ATP tour in 2022, Baez’s hard work is reflected on the ATP rankings. He sits at a career-high ranking of World No. 60 ahead of his tournament debut at Indian Wells.
Kyrgios v Baez Prediction and Tip
Just like most natural clay courters, Baez’s biggest strength is his counterpunching skills. But on a fast hard court against a big hitter in the mold of Kyrgios, he is unlikely to experience a lot of joy.
Tip: Kyrgios to win: 8/15 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
