Jannik Sinner v Laslo Djere Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these players and Djere has won both times. What’s pertinent to note is both those wins came on clay, a surface Djere prefers more than hard courts.

Sinner Makes a 11-2 Start to the Season
It should come as no surprise Sinner has broken into the top 10 as a 20-year-old, becoming the fifth-youngest among the current crop of tennis players to achieve that landmark.
And he would now want to push on further up the charts, in a competition he had reached the fourth round last season. He has a helpful draw too with his first major challenge coming up in the fourth round where he could face Casper Ruud.
Having won 11 of the 13 matches he’s played this season, with defeats coming to only Stefanos Tsitsipas and Hubert Hurkacz in the quarterfinals at Australian Open and ATP Dubai respectively, Sinner looks to have had his game sorted.
Rustiness won’t be a factor for Sinner either as he comes into this tournament having featured in a couple of Davis Cup matches last weekend as well. He won both.

Djere Shocks Kwon in Opener
Having gone into his first round match against Soon-woo Kwon as a huge underdog with odds of 2/1 against him, Djere overcame the loss of the first set before mounting a shock comeback win.
Djere, who had lost his five previous matches coming into this tournament, took slightly over two hours to register a 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory.
The Serb won just 11 of the 23 points on his serve in the first set but compensated by improving his game drastically in the next two.
Djere had a first serve win percentage of over 80% there, and while he was broken back by Kwon in the sixth game in the final set, he overcame the South Korean’s serve in the ninth game before sealing off the encounter.
Can he now dish out an equally fighting performance against Sinner?
Sinner v Djere Prediction and Tip
Sinner should not have too many issues getting past Djere in this one, with a straight-set win on the cards.
Tip: Sinner to win in straight sets: 1/3 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
