Rafael Nadal v Dan Evans Head to Head
There have been two previous matches between Nadal and Evans before this including one at Davis Cup. Nadal has won both, without dropping a set.

It was described as a Houdini’s act and not without a reason. Nadal, down 2-5 in the final set of his second round encounter against Sebastian Korda, mounted a comeback win for the ages to seal his berth in the third round.
Nadal won 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (3) in just over two and half hours in an encounter where both players had four breaks of serves apiece. It was Korda’s two breaks in the final set that looked to have settled him in on a path for a win as he served for the match but he never got to even a match-point as Nadal broke him back two times in a row.
The Spaniard then saved another break-point before sealing off the encounter in the tie-breaker and keep his 16-match winning streak alive.
What needs to be seen is whether he can recover quickly enough from the gruelling win against a player who has had an up and down kind of a season so far.

Evans Shows No Mercy on Coria
It was never expected to be difficult encounter for Evans when he took on clay-court specialist Federico Coria. But the manner in which he demolished his opponent in the second round would have not just warmed the hears of his fans but also given him some confidence coming up against a player of the pedigree of Nadal.
Evans was on court for only an hour and eight minutes in which he defeated Coria 6-2, 6-0, winning 10 games in a row after having dropped his serve for a 2-2 scoreline in the opening set.
Six breaks of serves a whopping 74% of the second serve points won went a long way in helping Evans clinch the deal.
The big question is whether Evans can take the same forward. Or more importantly, will Nadal allow that to happen?
