The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 29 year old Argentine, and the Finn, who is seven years younger.

Schwartman Quarter-Finalist Last Year
Schwartzman reached the quarter-finals in Indian Wells last October, losing to the eventual winner Cameron Norrie, emulating his previous best in a Masters Hard court event at the Paris Masters the previous year.
He is better known for his exploits on clay, having reached the semi-final of the French Open in 2020, and twice made the last eight at Roland Garros.
The Argentine comes into this tournament after a successful South American season, which saw him reach back to back finals in Buenos Aires and Rio, although he had to settle for the runners-up spot on both occasions to Casper Ruud and Carlos Alcaraz respectively.
He did, though, win the solitary Davis Cup tie he played last weekend against Tomas Machac of the Czech Republic.

Ruusuvouri Beats German Veteran
It was at the Miami Open last year, the other half of the Sunshine double, that Ruusuvouri announced himself to the wider tennis world, beating Alexander Zverev on the way to the fourth round.
He would go on to reach two semi-finals in 2021, and he has already gone one stage further this year, finishing runner-up in Pune to Joao Sousa of Portugal.
Since then, he reached the second round in Doha and played in the Davis Cup for his country against Belgium, winning one of his two matches.
He was drawn against the German veteran Philipp Kohlschreiber in the first round here, and, although he was the first to drop his serve, responded with two breaks of his own to take the first set.
Again, he was broken early in the second set, but immediately responded to level, and then broke once more when the German served to stay in the match.
Schwartzman v Ruusuvouri Prediction and Tip
Although Schwartzman is better known for his clay court exploits, he reached the quarter-finals here last year and will be looking for another decent run in this tournament.
