Madison Keys v Harriet Dart Head to Head

It’s 1-0 to Keys, who defeated Dart as recently as this season’s Melbourne Set 2 in straight sets.

Dart Makes her Top 100 Debut

Starting as a qualifier in the Indian Wells Open, Harriet Dart has achieved quite a few things over the last week.

For one, the 25-year-old posted her best result in a Premier Mandatory event by reaching the round of 16 in the valley. Secondly, she is also set to debut in the top 100 when the new rankings are released next Monday.

Currently, Dart is ranked World No. 122 and had failed to deliver a significant run like this in quite some time. In a good majority of all her previous WTA events, the Brit was dismissed either in the qualifiers or in the early rounds.

Case in point, before coming to Cali, Dart was beaten in the qualifiers in Dubai, Doha, and St. Petersburg. On the Australian hard courts, she managed to reach the first round in the main draw but couldn’t make it further.

Here in Tennis Paradise, Dart has surpassed many prominent players like  Ana Konjuh (walkover), Elina Svitolina (2-6, 6-3, 6-3), and Kaia Kanepi (7-6(4), 6-3). Whether she can continue to keep this up is anyone’s guess – especially when the competition is set to get more difficult.

Keys Finds her Groove

With a bye into round two, Madison Keys has had a seamless run so far in the BNP Paribas Open. She moved past Misaki Doi in three sets in her opener and followed it with a 7-6(4), 6-1 win over her compatriot Alison Riske in the third round.

The number 29th-ranked American had a disappointing spell before this in Mexico – she lost to Petra Martic and Harmony Tan in her opening matches in Monterrey and Guadalajara respectively.

However, that didn’t do much damage to Keys’ overall form and momentum. She started the season with a title run in Adelaide 2 and later reached the semifinal in the Australian Open, upsetting Sofia Kenin, Paula Badosa, and Barbora Krejcikova en route.

Keys is slowly starting to play the kind of tennis that brought her into the top 10 once. She is well-experienced and can handle herself in tricky situations.

Keys v Dart Prediction and Tip

As a former World No. 7 with several big trophies to her name – which is comparatively better than Dart’s collection – Keys will fancy her chances of winning this one. However, going by her recent losses, she is not entirely immune to shocking defeats and will need to be careful.

Tip: Keys to win 2-0: 4/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
