Andy Murray v Federico Delbonis Head to Head
There has been one previous meeting between these two with Delbonis having overcome Murray in a gruelling three-setter at the 2016 Indian Wells Masters.

Murray Hoping to Make it Seven in a Row
Since getting knocked out of the Melbourne Summer Set 1 in the very first round, Murray has appeared in six successive tournaments in which he has won at least the first round match.
At Sydney he went on to make the final before going down to Aslan Karatsev but since then the Brit has struggled to get past his second round opponents. In fact, over the last five competitions that has been his Achilles Heel – a second round exit at each of them making it difficult for him.
The same pattern repeated at Indian Masters two weeks ago where Murray came back from a set down to defeat Taro Daniel in his opener but fell to the underdog Alexander Bublik in the second.
Murray fell 7-6 (9), 6-3 in a fighting straight-setter but he has shown enough signs that he’s here to fight and make it through to the latter stages of competitions.

Delbonis Struggles on Hard Court
He might have defeated Murray in 2016 in Indian Wells but his record on hard court surfaces isn’t one that would fill too many with a lot of confidence. The Argentine is 6-8 on win-loss this season with just two of those wins having come in hard court tournaments as compared to four defeats.
And even those two wins came at the ATP Cup against rank outsiders, players ranked outside the top 400 in the world.
Delbonis is coming off a 6-2, 6-2 loss at the hands of Nick Kyrgios in the first round in Indian Wells, following on from back to back defeats in clay court competitions as well.
For him to then take down Murray on hard court and overturn a three-match losing streak will be a difficult task, as can be seen from the odds on offer – he starts off 9/2 underdog to get past his opponent in his opener.
Murray v Delbonis Prediction and Tip
This looks to be a straightforward one for Murray and while we believe he is a heavy favourite to win this, it might not be that easy. Straight sets but a fighting one alright.
Tip: Murray to win AND Over 19.5 games in the match: 6/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
