Lloyd Harris v Facundo Bagnis Head to Head
They have met just once and that meeting took place a few days ago at Indian Wells, with Harris winning a tight three-set contest.

Harris Continues to Struggle
Lloyd Harris is going through a rough patch this year and a 2-7 season record is a reflection of that. The South African’s only wins came against World no. 661 Daniel Cukierman of Israel at the Davis Cup and another against Bagnis in Indian Wells.
Having beaten the World No. 104, Harris will be confident of doing it all over again in Miami to pick his third win of the season.
The World No. 44, who had an exceptional 2021 season, reaching the final in Dubai and his maiden major quarterfinal at the U.S. Open, has just not found his rhythm this year.
Harris made five consecutive first round exits, and all those losses came against players ranked lower than him. He finally won two matches in the last two tournaments he featured in and that should boost his confidence. In his last match at Indian Wells, the two-time ATP finalist was outclassed by Matteo Berrettini in the third round.
This will be his third appearance at the Miami Open. He is yet to go past the second round in the tournament, can he make it to Round 2 this year?

Bagnis is 2-4 on Hard Courts
He doesn’t have much experience on hard courts and the 32-year-old Argentine might continue to struggle in Miami. Facundo Bagnis is 4-8 this season and 2-4 on hard courts.
One of those four defeats came against Harris in Indian Wells. While Bagnis wasn’t expected to win even against an out-of-form Harris, but he will take heart from the fact that he took Harris to three sets in a two-hour contest before going down 3-6, 6-4, 3-6.
The left-hander, who fell out of the top 100 this week, had begun the season by upsetting Andy Murray in the first round in Melbourne. His other hard court win this season came in the first round in Indian Wells against Henri Laaksonen.
Bagnis lost six consecutive matches since his win over Murray, before finally winning a couple of matches in Santiago to reach the last eight. Most recently he featured in the Phoenix Challenger, winning against Sebastian Baez in the first round but falling to Richard Gasquet in the next.
How far can he go in Miami?
Harris v Bagnis Prediction and Tip
It’s an opportunity for Bagnis to get his revenge over Harris, but the South African might once again top the Argentine and advance for a second round meeting with 12th seed Denis Shapovalov.
