Tommy Paul v Benjamin Bonzi Head to Head
This is the second meeting between these two players with Paul leading the H2H 1-0. Their most recent encounter occurred this year, on the hard courts of Adelaide, with Paul winning the contest 6-4 7-6(6).

Paul reached the round-of-16 last week in Indian Wells after scoring an impressive win over Zverev in his second round and beating Kukushkin in his opener. Paul lost in his 3rd round clash to De Minaur 7-6(2) 6-4 to end his run.
The American scored two quarter-finals earlier in the year in Acapulco and Delray Beach. In Mexico, Paul got lucky and received a retirement Berrettini after losing the first set 6-4 but being 5-1 up in the second. He made the most of this by defeating Lajovic in the next round but then lost to Nadal 6-0 7-6(5) to end his run. Delray Beach saw Paul defeat Istomin and Kozlov before losing out to Norrie 6-3 6-3.
A second win for the 24-year-old would set up an encounter with 23rd seed Khachanov for a spot in the third round.

Bonzi Arrives in Miami in Impressive Form
Like his next opponent, Bonzi also found himself in the round-of-16 after defeating Rinderknech and Sonego in his opening two rounds before losing to Sinner in a tight 2-hour 38-minute battle 7-6(5) 3-6 6-4.
The Frenchman has been doing a lot of winning this year on both the challenger and the ATP circuit. In February Bonzi was able to lift some silverware at the Cherbourg challenger. En route to lifting the trophy he scored wins against Rosenkranz, De Schepper, Draper, Bergs, before sealing the deal against Lestienne in the final 6-4 2-6 6-4.
Bonzi backed this up in Marseille reaching the semi-finals of the ATP event, losing out to Rublev 6-3 4-6 6-3. On his way to the last-4 the 25-year-old defeated Majchrzak, Herbert, and Karastev before Rublev denied him a spot in the final.
Paul v Bonzi Prediction and Tip
A fascinating match-up with their previous encounter being decided in two close sets, with the second being won 8-6 in a tiebreak. With this meeting once again coming on a hard court both players will be ready for each other’s game. It is likely that once again Paul will be victorious and make his way into the next round.
