Daria Kasatkina v Aliaksandra Sasnovich Head to Head
Kasatkina holds a 5-3 edge from their eight meetings across levels. Ksatkina has also won the most recent encounters, winning in a qualifying round in Doha in 2020, and in the Round of 16 at St. Petersburg last year.

World No. 29 Daria Kasatkina had displayed solid form at the start of the season, reaching back-to-back semifinals at Melbourne Summer Set-2 and the Sydney Classic, but since then she has failed to go that deep in the next four tournaments. And it’s Iga Swiatek who has proved to be her nemesis.
The Polish player defeated Kasatkina at the Australian Open, Dubai Open and the Qatar Open. She couldn’t setup a round of 16 meeting with Swiatek in Indian Wells, going down to Angelique Kerber in the Round of 32. Swiatek meanwhile went all the way to capture the title.
Overall, Kasatkina would still be happy with the way she has been competing this year, with the former No. 10 bringing in an 11-5 record to Miami.
This is Kasatkina’s fifth attempt in Miami and she has made the third round just once. The four-time tour-level champion will be eager to go deeper this year and for that she will first need to beat Sasnovich for a sixth time in her career.

Sasnovich Knocks Out Wang Xinyu
World no. 60 Aliaksandra Sasnovich reached the second round at the Miami Open for the fourth time in her career after she ousted China’s Wang Xinyu with a hard-four straight sets win.
After both payers put up a gritty service display in the first set, Sasnovich edged the tiebreaker. There was little to choose between the two in the second as well, until Sansonvich got the only break of the match in the final game of the set to win 7-6 (8-6), 6-4.
Sasnovich didn’t face a break point in the match, and capitalised on the only one that she faced.
The 28-year-old was a finalist at the Melbourne Summer Set-2. She also reached the quarterfinals of the St. Petersburg Open, but hasn’t been able to go too deep.
Kasatkina v Sasnovich Prediction and Tip
It’s an old rivalry. Expect the match to go the distance with the 25th seed Kasatkina holding a slight edge.
