Taylor Fritz v Miomir Kecmanovic Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two players at the highest level and Fritz has won both times with a third match-up on the Challenger circuit also ending in Fritz’s favour.

In the form of his life, Fritz completed his eighth win in a row when he overcame Tommy Paul in the third round. And while his fellow American did put up a brave fight, Fritz came through in straight sets to enter the round of 16.
After having gotten stretched to three sets in the second round by Mikhail Kukushkin, Fritz registered a 7-6 (2), 6-4 win over Paul in a match lasting an hour and 34 minutes.
In a rather cagey encounter, Fritz was broken in the very first game but came back to level things out in the fourth. No break-points followed in the set before Fritz ran away with the tie-breaker to go one up.
The second set saw Fritz convert the first break-point he got and that was all he needed to complete the victory and move into the same stage he had gotten through last year. Can he now improve upon his performance in this one?

Kecmanovic Leaps Past Korda
Kecmanovic is ranked 48th in the world but his performances this season have been top draw, almost from a top 20 player if not better.
There was a fourth round appearance at Australian Open where he defeated Tommy Paul and Lorenzo Sonego, and more recently in Indian Wells, Kecmanovic also reached as far as the quarterfinals. It was just the second time in his career, Kecmanovic had made it that far in a Masters competition.
Here, after getting past Jack Sock in the opener, Kecmanovic has already defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime in the second round and enters this match on the back of a 7-6 (4), 6-3 win against Sebastian Korda.
In a match that lasted nearly an hour and a half, Kecmanovic endured 11 aces and broke his opponent two times to complete the victory.
