Stefanos Tsitsipas v Carlos Alcaraz Head to Head
These two had met at the 2021 US Open in their only previous match-up and Alcaraz had won that in five sets, with the final set ending in a tie-breaker.

Tsitsipas Demolishes De Minaur
After getting stretched to three sets in the previous match by American youngster JJ Wolf, Tsitsipas looked to have rediscovered his mojo in his third round victory over Australia’s Alex de Minaur.
Tsitsipas was a 6-4, 6-3 winner over de Minaur in a match lasting an hour and 31 minutes, with eight aces and a first serve winning percentage 82% punctuating his victory.
The world number five faced three break-points in the entire match, and while he saved all of them, Tsitsipas helped himself to a break apiece in each of the two sets to complete the win.
This entry into the fourth round follows a third round defeat in Indian Wells and exits from Marseille and Acapulco before he could reach the final. Tsitsipas would hope he can carry the form he had shown against de Minaur when he takes on an opponent who has risen to 16th in the world.

Alcaraz Continues to Impress
It’s been the kind of season which Alcaraz would have hoped for following his performances in 2021. Having won the ATP Next Gen Finals title in 2021, Alcaraz added another ATP title to his Umag win when he clinched the tournament in Rio.
And as if to prove he is no one-trick pony and can win on hard court surfaces as well, Alcaraz marched into the semifinal of the Indian Wells Open two weeks ago. Wins over Roberto Bautista Agut, Gael Monfils and Cameron Norrie, followed by a three-set defeat to Rafael Nadal underlined his class.
Here, after getting a first round bye, Alcaraz has already gotten past Marton Fucsovics and Marin Cilic in successive rounds. And it’s not the win but the clinical manner in which he’s picking off opponents that makes him such a delight to watch.
The Spaniard hasn’t lost a set in nine of the previous 10 matches he has played and coming up against Tsitsipas that should hold him in a good stead.
Tsitsipas v Alcaraz Prediction and Tip
Not very surprisingly, Alcaraz starts off as a heavy favourite in this one, with odds of 8/15 for his win. Tsitsipas will hope to put up a fight but can he push the match into the third set?
Tip: Alcaraz to win in straight sets: 11/8 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
