Carlos Taberner v Yannick Hanfmann Head to Head
.The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 24-year old Spaniard, and the German, who is six years older.

Taberner enters this tournament close to his all-time career high ranking, following a highly successful 2021 on the Challenger tour, where he reached and won four finals, all of them on clay.
That helped him break into the top 100 by the end of the year.
Apart from a brief sortie to the Australian Open where he lost in the first round, he has stuck to clay this year, switching between the Challenger and Senior tours.
And he has already enjoyed success, winning a Challenger event in Italy last month. He then reached the quarter-final of a follow-up event, but lost in the second round of Marbella to the German veteran Philipp Kohlschreiber.

Competent Clay Court Player Hanfmann
Despite being hearing impaired from birth, Hanfmann has still carved out a reasonable career for himself, reaching two senior career finals both on clay, finishing runner-up in Gstaad in 2017, and again in Kitzbuhel, three years later.
In addition, he has won nine Challenger titles on that surface, the most recent of which was in Italy 20 months ago.
On the senior tour, his best result so far in 2022 came in Santiago, again on clay, where he reached the quarter-finals before losing to the Spaniard Pedro Martinez.
He last saw action in the Marbella Challenger event where he reached the second round.
The German is known for his powerful serve and groundstrokes.
