It seems Catarina has failed to capitalize on the M15 ITF in Tunisia that he won at the start of March as he has not won a match since then and is currently on a 3-match losing streak.
Catarina swept the competition in Tunisia claiming the title without dropping a set. On his way to the trophy, he defeated Tarvet, Butuija, Basso, Coulibaly, before ending the perfect run with a 6-4 6-1 win over Atmane in the final.
Currently ranked 424th, this match-up against Fritz marks his first ATP event of the year, an opportunity he will hope to make the most of and enjoy himself out on the court, hopefully displaying some impressive tennis for the fans to marvel.

An interesting match to see how Catarina will fare against one of the best in the world. There is no doubt that he will have the crowd behind him, making huge noise for every point he wins.
