Diego Schwartzman v Marton Fucsovics Head to Head
It’s 1-1 from their previous meetings. Schwartzman won at Roland Garros in 2019, Fucsovics won at Wimbledon last year.

In an epic three-hour-and-eight-minute contest, Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman fought back from a set down to beat Olympic silver medalist Karen Khachanov in the first round of the Monte-Carlo Open.
The World No. 16, improved to 6-5 in Monte Carlo, where he was a quarterfinalist in 2017.
Schwartzman and Khachanov were involved in a close first set with both players breaking twice and then exchanging multiple mini-breaks during the tiebreak before the latter took a one-set lead.
Pegged back, Schwartzman hit back in the second, starting off brightly with a double break. Khachanov did pull one back immediately but was broken again in the final game of the set and the match headed to a decider.
Schwartzman was the first to break in the third set, but Khachanov responded immediately. However, the Argentine broke a second time in the set and then held on for a 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 6-3 victory.
The 29-year-old Argentine’s season record improved to 14-7 and that includes two final appearances in Buenos Aires and Rio.

Fucsovics Battles Past Harris
World No. 57 Marton Fucsovics of Hungary began his challenge with a 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-1 victory over South Africa’s Lloyd Harris in the opening round.
This was the 30-year-old’s second win in Monte Carlo in his fourth attempt. He also improved his season numbers to 8-9, having reached just one quarterfinal in Doha.
Against Harris, the Hungarian won 67% first serve points, saved 5 of 6 break points and converted 4 of 7 to reach the second round.
A decent player on clay, he won his only tour-level title on the surface in Geneva in 2018. He has also reached two other finals on hard courts, but hasn’t been able to add to the Geneva title yet.
Schwartzman v Fucsovics Prediction and Tip
Schwartzman is the seeded player, plus the higher-ranked and also the more experienced. Expect him to win in three.
