Pablo Carreno Busta v Bernabe Zapata Miralles Head to Head

Two-time Barcelona semifinalist Pablo Carreno Busta will be looking for another deep run this season. Last year, the 30-year-old fell in the final four stage to Rafael Nadal, while in 2018 he was beaten by Stefanos Tsitsipas in the same stage.
Overall he is 9-9 in the tournament and will be looking to improve that record this season. But he has been inconsistent so far this year. The World no. 19 began well at the ATP Cup, winning four of his five singles matches. He also reached the fourth round of the Australian Open, but hasn’t made the quarterfinals yet this season.
Last week, Carreno Busta won the first two rounds at Monte Carlo, but fell in the round of 16 to Alexander Zverev.
The Spaniard has an 11-7 record this season. He has a 56.5% win record on clay and three of his six titles have come on the surface. Last year, the Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist won both his titles on clay, beating Jaume Munar in the final in Andalusia and Filip Krajinovic in the title clash in Hamburg.

Zapata Miralles Breezes Past Robredo In His Final Match
Qualifier Bernabe Zapata Miralles needed just 63 minutes to beat compatriot and wild card Tommy Robredo in the first round, thus bringing an end to a 23-year career of the latter.
Robredo, who will be 40 next month, retired from the sport with 12 tour level titles.
In the one-sided first round contest, Zapata Miralles converted five of five break points and saved the only one that he faced to seal the contest 6-1, 6-1.
The World no. 119 had also dominated the qualifying rounds, beating Alexis Gautier of France 6-1, 6-1 in the first qualifying round and another Frenchman Manuel Guinard 6-4, 6-0 in the second qualifier.
With the first round win, the 25-year-old improved to 2-5 this season. His only other win had come over Dennis Novak in the first round in Pune.
