Andrey Rublev v Taro Daniel Head to Head
They played three times before with Daniel leading 2-1. The most recent one came in Miami in 2019 with Rublev winning 3-6 6-3 6-4.

Rublev Avoids Disaster in Belgrade
Andrey Rublev struggled quite a bit in his first match in Belgrade against Jiri Lehecka but the Russian was able to win a the crucial 2nd set after which he smashed his opponent in the final set. Rublev has a 20-5 record on the year which is superb yet the Russian has not played that well consistently.
He had a great stretch winning Marseille and Dubai and played rather well in Indian Wells but since then he’s cooled off a bit. Nick Kyrgios smashed him in Miami and now in Belgrade, it’s been a very tricky first match. Lehecka served exceptionally well which frustrated the Russian.
He tried to rush in the match and it didn’t work so eventually when he settled into a nice rhythm and won the 2nd set he was good to go. The final set was a thrashing as Lehecka’s level eroded as well.

Daniel Inching Closer to the Top 100
Taro Daniel has played some solid and consistent tennis this year scoring some wins on the ATP Tour. That is something crucial for the Japanese player who has been a prominent challenger player for a while. Results like these in Belgrade will help him better his ranking giving him more chances to take on the best players.
He’s been really good so far in Belgrade scoring two solid wins in the qualifiers as well as beating native Dusan Lajovic and Holger Rune in three sets. Now he will take on Rublev in his maiden ATP quarterfinal. It will be interesting to see how well he does especially since he gave Rublev trouble in the best.
The Russian looked quite nervous and annoyed at times against Lehecka and he will have to control that as Taro likes to play long rallies.
Rublev v Daniel Prediction and Tip
This is a very interesting matchup between two players who played some very competitive matches in the past. Each of their three matches went to three sets with Daniel winning two but they happened a long time ago with Rublev a much better player now.
He’s the favourite in this one and not by little, he should simply win this matchup 10 out of ten times. Yet I do wonder how much can Daniel frustrate him. Rublev does not like to play long rallies and the Japanese player prefers it that way.
That could frustrate Rublev quite a bit and he can get carried away by his emotions. With that being said I will back Rublev to win this but if you are feeling adventurous some over or something like that might be worth taking a look at as well.
Tip: Rublev to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
