Richard Gasquet v Hugo Dellien Head to Head

Richard Gasquet started his journey in the tournament with a clinical 7-5, 6-2 win over the seventh-seeded American Tommy Paul.
The former World No. 7, who is now 7-7 this season, has had a largely inconsistent season with no reprieve in sight. The 35-year-old Frenchman has fallen to the likes of Miomir Kecmanovic, Federico Coria, Oscar Otte, and other lower-ranked players quite early in the tournaments.
His best run came in ATP Montpellier, Marrakech, and the Phoenix Challenger where he reached the quarterfinal. His last tournament was in Belgrade where he fell in the opening round.
On the whole, Gasquet has a much superior pedigree to Dellien with 35 ATP finals. While he may be low on form and momentum, he makes up for it with his experience.

Dellien Overcomes Vesely
Hugo Dellien of Bolivia made his way into the main draw in Estoril after overcoming Gastao Elias and Max Purcell in the qualifiers in straight sets. He continued to build on it with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Jiri Vesely in the opener.
Currently ranking World No. 85, Dellien is still in pursuit of his maiden ATP title. For what it’s worth, the chances of him breaking this rut are higher in the clay swing – especially when considering his 34 Challenger and Futures finals on this surface (24 trophies, 10 runner-ups).
Moreover, two of those results came as recently as last month in Concepcion and Santiago – which Dellien followed with a string of decent results on the ATP Tour.
He last played in the Barcelona Open where he made it to round two and before that, he featured in the Monte-Carlo Masters; he cleared the qualifiers in both cases but ended up losing in the early rounds.
Gasquet v Dellien Prediction and Tip
Dellien makes for a good bet here – he has the rhythm to his game and has seen his fair share of good tournaments this season. Meanwhile, Gasquet is clearly struggling on the tour and overcoming an in-form player like his Bolivian counterpart may prove to be a challenge.
Backing Dellien may not be the worst bet to make while on the safer side, this can quite possibly go to three sets.
