Filip Krajinovic v John Isner Head to Head
The pair have played each other twice before. Krajinovic won their semi-final on the indoor hard courts of the Paris Master in 2018, but, in the same city, but on the clay of Roland Garros, Isner won their second round match last year.

Krajinovic’s Second Appearance in Madrid
Krajinovic has never won a senior ATP title, although he has been in four finals, two of them on clay, the most recent of which was the European Open in Hamburg last year where he was beaten by Pablo Carreno-Busta.
He has only competed in Madrid once before, and that was last year, when he was beaten in the first round.
By far his best performance of the year so far came in Montpellier at the start of February, where he reached the semi-finals before losing to the eventual winner Alexander Bublik.
Since then it has been a series of premature exits from tournaments, including his home event of the Serbia Open in Belgrade, where, after a good win over David Goffin, he was knocked out by Thiago Monteiro of Brazil, the world number 103, in straight sets.

Houston Finalist Isner
This will be the first match that Isner has played in Europe this year, but it is by no means the first clay court event.
He was last in action at the Houston Open, where he got to the final before losing to compatriot Reilly Opelka in straight sets.
The same man had beaten him in Dallas, where, for the second time in his career, Isner had been involved in a piece of tennis history. Already his win over Nicholas Mahut of France tat Wimbledon in 2010 had its place in the record books as the longest.
And this time against Opelka, he was on the wrong end of the longest ever tie-break.
Krajinovic v Isner Prediction and Tip
Provided that he has successfully made the adaptation to European conditions, Isner should come out on top against a man who is scratching for form right now.
Tip: Isner to win: 4/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
