Garbine Muguruza v Anna Danilina Head to Head

She ended 2021 by winning the WTA Finals title, capping off a 42–17 season with three titles from five finals. But Garbine Muguruza has just not got going in 2022.
The Spaniard, ranked No. 10 in the world, is 6-7 this season and will be desperate to regain the form that helped her finish as No. 3 last season.
The former No. 1 is a terrific player on all surfaces and has a 64% win record on clay, which includes the French Open title in 2016 (one of her two Grand Slam titles from four major finals).
Muguruza is however, 1-2 on clay this season. She beat Ajla Tomljanovic in the opening round in Madrid but fell to Anhelina Kalinina. In Rome, she threw away a one-set lead, going down to Yulia Putintseva in a three-set opener.
Muguruza has a decent record in Rabat, but hasn’t played since 2015. She was a quarterfinalist on debut in 2012 and a semifinalist in 2014. She got knocked out in the second round in her third and final appearance in 2015
Seeded No. 1 in Rabat this year, she will be aiming to win the crown and return to form ahead of the French Open.

Danilina Advances as a Lucky Loser
Anna Danilina has entered the main draw as a lucky loser. The Kazakh player defeated Japan’s Ena Shibahara 6-2, 6-3 in the first qualifying round on Saturday, but she was beaten 5-7, 1-6 by Ekaterina Reyngold on Sunday.
However, the World No. 343 has found her way into the main draw.
Better known for her doubles game, Danilina was the runner-up at the Australian Open this year along with Beatriz Haddad Maia.
When it comes to singles, Danilina lost the first qualifying rounds in Doha and Dubai and is 3-4 in singles at the ITF level this season.
