Mayar Sherif v Chloe Pacquet Head to Head
Sherif leads Pacquet 1-0 in their head-to-head, having beaten the Frenchwoman in their only meeting at the 2021 Australian Open first round in straight sets.

Following this monumental achievement, Sherif will break the world’s Top 50 for the first time becoming the first Egyptian player to do so. Although she is unlikely to reach a Grand Slam seeding spot for the upcoming French Open, she will be a name not many players would want to draw in the first round.
Sherif and Ons Jabeur’s rise has been one of the feel-good stories of African women’s tennis. The pair of them have been trailblazers in their respective countries. In Sherif’s case, the process has been rather tedious and painstaking having played in the lower rungs of the women’s circuit for most of her career.

Pacquet On the Brink Of Top 100
Chloe Pacquet hovers just outside the world’s Top 100, at No. 101, and is one knock away from joining the centurion club for the first time in her career.
The 27-year-old Frenchwoman, who features predominantly on the ITF circuit, could scale that milestone if she can put together a productive run in Rabat.
Pacquet has reached a multitude of quarterfinals and semifinals in ITF events this year, but she has yet to win a main draw match on the WTA tour for nearly three months. And aside from that, in her last match on the WTA tour, she was humbled 6-0 6-0 by Ludmilla Samsonova, giving the impression of the gulf in class between the two circuits.
Pacquet will be making her main draw debut in Rabat and her task does not get any easier as she is slated to meet North Africa’s latest trailblazer.
