Success for Tomljanovic on Clay
Ajla Tomljanovic is not having a very good year but she has found some success on clay. Overall she is 11-12 but six of those wins came on the red dirt. She’s also through to the quarterfinal here in Rabat with a solid chance to advance to the semifinal.
She scored two straight set wins in the two previous rounds playing and serving well. The serve is crucial for her as it allows her to finish off points quickly. She doesn’t like long rallies and she prefers it shorter. Lately, it’s been decent for her.
Solid play in Madrid but she lost to Garbine Muguruza. Solid play in Rome but she lost to Ons Jabeur. Clay has been good to her historically and with a chance for the semifinal, she should be motivated. Can she do it? Keep on reading to find out.

Great Run From Bondar
Anna Bondar has always been a very good clay player, she grew up on the surface. This year her record is 10-4 on clay and 19-13 overall which is really good. She is slowly climbing the rankings and realizing the full potential she always had.
Bondar has an aggressive playstyle with very consistent play from the line. That allowed her to win over 60 matches last year and over 40 of those wins came on clay. If she is ever doing to secure a deep run it will be on clay. Perhaps it’s this week.
She won both matches rather comfortably despite not showing her best tennis. She opted to play some challenger events lately to build up her form and it’s showing on the WTA tour. It was a smart choice and she will have a decent chance against Tomljanovic if she plays well.
Tomljanovic v Bondar Prediction and Tip
So this is a very interesting matchup between two players that showed a lot of good tennis this week. Tomljanovic looked closer to her peak this week than Bondar but that means literally nothing. Every match is singular and any player can beat any player.
Bondar is generally the better player on clay with Tomljanovic probably a bit better overall at the moment. Bondar grew up on this surface and it takes a really good effort to oust her on this surface. I think Tomljanovic can do it but I’m still going to back Bondar.
She’s just been so solid and built a lot of confidence lately. I think that will suit her in crucial moments more. Tomljanovic can lose matches she was supposed to win so keep that in mind too. Take Bondar.
Tip: Bondar to win: 9/11 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
