Richard Gasquet v Kamil Majchrzak Head to Head

There is no head to head record as they play each other for the first time.

Can Gasquet be Fifth time Lucky in Quarterfinals This Year?

Richard Gasquet has had a brilliant debut campaign in Geneva so far. He beat John Millman 6-3, 6-1 in the first round and world number 2 Daniil Medvedev 6-2, 7-6(5) in the second round on Tuesday.

Gasquet now aged 35, has continued to produce good results at this level. There hasn’t been any signs of him slowing down. However, he has to break a current losing streak in quarterfinals in 2022.

The Frenchman has lost all 4 quarterfinals he has played this year. This will be his 5th quarterfinal. He was the favourite in 3 of those 4 matches. He is equally priced by the bookmakers in this contest.

The veteran is 13-11 this year and 7-5 on clay. Having not dropped a set so far and been effortless for most parts on his own serve, Gasquet will feel he is very much the front runner to win this.

Majchrzak Vying Second Semifinal in 2022

World number 81, Kamil Majchrzak has been quietly building a good season. He won all his ATP Cup matches in January, reached the semifinal in Pune in February and now has a chance to make his second semifinal this year.

He beat the very unpredictable Alexander Bublik in his first round match, 6-1, 6-7(4), 6-3. Bublik actually had break points at 3-3 in the third set. Majchrzak went on to defeat Marco Cecchinato 6-2, 6-3 in the second round match with a very impressive break point conversion rate (5/7).

The Polish tennis player is 14-10 on all surfaces this year and 4-3 on clay. A bulk of his career matches have been played on clay with most of his challenger level titles also coming on the red clay.

Majchrzak has a very clean game with no stand out strength or weakness. He has been serving quite superiorly all week and if he can maintain the same vs Gasquet he will fancy a win here.

Gasquet v Majchrzak Prediction and Tip

Both players had very strong second round performances and have been serving well. The first set should be highly competitive with a tie break or 7-5 score and the loser of the first set could make a fast start in the second set. This match has overs written all over it.

Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
