Reilly Opelka v Filip Krajinovic Head to Head
They played once before and Opelka won that one last year at the Paris Masters 6-3 7-6(4).

Opelka Solid on Clay
Reilly Opelka can play well on clay especially if the conditions favour his serve. He has the perfect combo for the surface with a strong serve and strong serve. He does not move well on the surface but he doesn’t need to if he keeps the points short.
6-3 is his record on the surface right now and he’s 19-9 on the year. Opelka has grown into a very solid player and occasionally he will play sensational tennis. In Paris, he reached the 3rd round last year thanks to the surface getting faster. Players have noted the clay getting faster over the years and it benefited players like Opelka.
Aces have become rather common compared to other clay surfaces and that is something Opelka can build upon. If he can avoid long rallies and stay away from any 4 or 5 set matches he will be decent. The form has picked up in recent weeks as well so he will be ready.

Good Run in Rome for Krajinovic
Filip Krajinovic was having a rather bad year, especially on clay until he got to Rome. In Rome, he was able to find something that was missing for the better part of this year. Krajinovic is a player that has so much talent yet he rarely finds his best tennis.
It’s a shame for the Serbian because he can be a delight to watch when he is playing well. He is 10-10 on the year and 3-4 on clay and that’s not good. He’s been pretty good on clay generally and he found something in Rome that he can build upon.
Whether he can stay consistent over 3 sets remains to be seen. He faced John Isner in Madrid and lost which indicates that he tends to have trouble with big servers and loses patience. That’s something Opelka will target and Krajinovic must know as well.
Opelka v Krajinovic Prediction and Tip
They played once before and it happened last year with Opelka winning comfortably. I think something similar will happen here again because Krajinovic has historically struggled with good servers. He teens to get frustrated easily and he’s not been that good so far.
He found something in Rome but I doubt it carries over because that’s been the story of Krajinvoic for a while now. It’s not simply a funk anymore. Opelka is very solid and he will know how to attack Krajinovic. The crucial part will be his serve but I think it will show up.
Tip: Opelka to win: 4/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
