Martina Trevisan v Lucia Bronzetti Head to Head

World No. 85 Martina Trevisan could not have asked for a better build-up to the French Open as the Italian is all set to compete in a rare WTA semifinal of her career.
The 28-year-old has played well in Rabat to achieve this feat, having defeated Xiaodi You followed by the top seed Garbine Muguruza in three sets and Arantxa Rus in straight. Now that she has carved the biggest top 10 win, her confidence would be on cloud nine and she will fancy her chances of clinching her first singles trophy on the tour.
It was certainly unexpected of Trevisan to make it this far, to say the least. She arrived in Morocco with a tally of 10-10 on the back of early losses in Rome and Madrid, respectively to Shuai Zhang and Kaia Kanepi. Her previous best run of the season came in the Australian Open where she lost to Paula Badosa in round two as a qualifier.
That said, most of the success that Trevisan has witnessed so has come in clay tournaments. She has 17 ITF finals on the red dirt along with one WTA doubles, and one Challenger runner-up feat.

Bronzetti, Looking Confident
Lucia Bronzetti has also made a bit of personal history in Rabat as she finds herself closer to the first WTA final in her career. It is quite a feat, seeing that the 23-year-old Italian made her main tour debut only last year in the Italian Open.
In theory, she took far less time to achieve a semifinal run than Trevisan did and is also quite primed to go the distance. With her ongoing stint in Morocco, her tally now stands at 23-10.
Bronzetti found herself in a couple of demanding matches here, notably three-setters with Anna Kalinskaya and Nuria Parrizas Diaz with the latter ending in a final-set tiebreak in the Italian’s favour. She also made quick work on Clara Burel by overcoming her in straight sets.
Currently ranked World No. 83, her previous best run came in the Miami Open where she reached the round of 16 from the qualifying stages. She followed it with a title run in Chiasso ITF.
Bronzetti v Trevisan Prediction and Tip
This match can very well swing either way but Bronzetti will start as the favourite owing to her recent form and momentum. On a safer side, this match has all the makings of being a long affair.
