Ons Jabeur v Magda Linette Head to Head
Jabeur leads Linette 3-1. The Polish player’s only win came in Baku in 2013. jabeur has prevailed in all their recent battles.
Last year, they met in the Round of 32 at Roland Garros with Jabeur coming back from a set down to win in three. This year, they met in Miami, with Jabeur winning the Round of 64 match in straight sets.

World no. 6 Ons Jabeur has played in 19 Grand Slams over her career, but has made the quarterfinals on just two occasions, at the Australian Open in 2020 and the Wimbledon last year.
When it comes to Roland Garros, Jabeur’s best has been two last 16 appearances in 2020 and 2021. That stat may change this year as the Tunisian comes into her fifth French Open in terrific form. The 27-year-old won her maiden WTA 1000 title by defeating Jessica Pegula in the final in Madrid earlier this month, and came very close to claiming another in Rome, only to fall in the final hurdle to Iga Swiatek.
She is 17-3 on clay this season, having also reached the final in Charleston, the quarterfinals in Stuttgart.
Jabeur enjoyed a 48-19 season last year and given how consistent she has become of late she could top that this year; she is already 25-8 and looks set for a long run in Roland Garros. Could this be the year when she picks up her first major?

Linette in Decent Touch
Magda Linette will make her eighth main draw appearance at the Paris major.
The Polish player is in decent form on clay courts this season. She was a quarterfinalist in Charleston and also reached the last eight in Strabourg this week.
Ranked no. 56 in the world, Linette defeated Varvara Gracheva and Heather Watson in the first two rounds but fell to Angelique Kerber in the quarterfinals in Strasbourg.
Overall, the 30-year-old is 9-9 from her tour-level matches and 12-12 from all competitions, which includes another ;last eight in the WTA 125 in Saint Malo.
