2021 Quarter-Finalist Davidovich-Fokina
Last year Davidovich-Fokina reached his first Grand Slam quarter-final in Paris, with his victims including Casper Ruud, before he was eventually beaten by Alexander Zverev.
That remains his best showing in a Grand Slam, although he did reach the fourth round of the US Open in 2020.
This year he demonstrated his clay court credentials in Monte Carlo, where he reached his first Masters’ final, eventually losing to the defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas in two close sets.
The Spaniard may be slightly disappointed with how he has failed to build on his achievements in the Principality since, with three successive second round defeats – in Estoril, Madrid and Rome.
He was beaten in the Italian capital by Felix Augur-Aliassime in three sets.

Griekspoor Makes Paris Main Draw Debut
Griekspoor is making his main draw debut, having never previously got out of the qualifying competition in Paris before.
Now the Dutch number two to Botic van de Zandschulp, he enjoyed a surge up the rankings last year courtesy of his form on the Challenger tour, where he appeared in eight finals, six of them on clay, and won the lot.
He has found the adaptation to life on the senior tour this year more difficult than he might have liked, and had been struggling for results, especially on his favourite surface of clay.
However, he got a welcome boost in Geneva, where he reached his first quarter-final of the year, before losing in three sets to the American world number 18, Reilly Opelka.
Davidovich-Fokina v Griekspoor Prediction and Tip
Although both would describe clay as their favourite surface, Davidovich-Fokina has a track record in major tournaments, whilst Griekspoor does not. It is hard to see anything other than a Spanish winner in this match.
Tip: Davidovich-Fokina to win AND Both players to win a set: 6/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
