Paula Badosa v Fiona Ferro Head to Head
Badosa leads 1-0 with the sole victory coming in Rabat in 2018; the Spaniard was pushed to three sets in that match.

Badosa, Ready for the Slam
It has been a significant year for Paula Badosa. She reached her career-best ranking as World No. 2 and has arrived in Paris with a tally of 22-10.
She is as prepared as she could be for the Roland Garros 2022 although, her recent runs do put pressure on her. In Charleston and Stuttgart, the 24-year-old reached the quarterfinal and semifinal respectively, losing to Belinda Bencic and Aryna Sabalenka.
In the subsequent WTA 1000 events in Madrid and Rome, she was beaten in the early rounds – this time by Simona Halep and Daria Kasatkina.
Nonetheless, the fact remains that the current #3 is one of the favourites to go the distance in Paris this time. She has achieved remarkable things on the tour in a short period of time, including winning the Indian Wells Open last season.
A Grand Slam is obviously the next item on the list but nerves may play a part as she moves ahead in the tournament.

Ferro, Coming off a Bleak Run
Fiona Ferro’s preparation for the French Open has not gone according to the plan but the fact that she is a home favourite should help her case.
Moreover, her best Grand Slam showing has come right here in Paris in 2020 so if there was a place or time for her to do better on the tour, this would be it.
That said, momentum is not on the side of the current World No. 139. The 25-year-old played in Strasbourg last week where she lost to Viktorija Golubic in round two in straight sets. In fact, Ferro’s entire season is dotted with these early-round exits.
She has won only two titles in her career so far although, they did come on clay courts. She can put up a fight but it is hard to imagine her going the distance against Badosa.
Badosa v Ferro Prediction and Tip
Badosa is the obvious choice here, there is no denying it. She may feel the pressure but given her superior form, recent momentum, and overall pedigree, she should do well to reach the next round comfortably.
Tip: Badosa to win in straight sets: 1/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
