Daniel Altmaier v Jaume Munar Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 23 year old German, and the Spaniard, two years his senior.

Altmaier’s Confidence and Ranking Boosted by Challenger Win
Altmaier, who is now the number two German player after Alexander Zverev, comes into this tournament full of confidence, having just won a Challenger event on home soil in Heilbronn, Germany.
That was his 13th Challenger title in all, and the points he garnered from that have helped him reach a career high world ranking.
And Paris holds happy memories for him from two years ago. Not only did he make his Grand Slam debut here, after coming through the qualifying competition, but he went on to reach the fourth round, beating the seventh seed that year, Matteo Berrettini along the way.
However, the only other time he has appeared in a Grand Slam tournament was at the Australian Open in January, when he lost in the first round.

Munar Challenger Winner in Marbella
Unlike his opponent, Munar regularly features in Grand Slam events, although two second round appearances in Paris and one in Melbourne remain the summit of his achievements to date.
But, like Altmaier, he has recently won a Challenger tournament on clay, in his case in Marbella in April.
That was also his 13th success at Challenger level and, although he has yet to taste champagne on the senior tour, he did make the final of the Andalucía Open last April before losing to compatriot Pablo Carreno-Busta.
Also, in April, he reached the third round in Barcelona before becoming another victim of fellow Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.
He was last in action in a Challenger tournament in Bordeaux, where he reached the quarter-finals.
Altmaier v Munar Prediction and Tip
Both men should not be lacking in confidence following their recent wins on the Challenger tour. However, despite being lower ranked, Munar is tipped to advance to the second round because of his greater familiarity with Grand Slams.
