Sebastian Baez v Dusan Lajovic Head to Head
This will be a first meeting between the two.

Baez in Solid Form
After a year when he won six titles from nine finals at the Challenger level, Sebastian Baez is now making waves at the top level.
The 21-year-old Argentina will be making his French Open debut on Monday and brings a 16-12 season record into the tournament, which includes his maiden title success in Estoril and a runner-up finish in Santiago, both clay court events.
An extremely dangerous player on clay, Baez has a 14-7 record on the surface this year.
Baez, who was the boy’s singles runner-up at the French Open in 2018, has already caught the eye this season, and will be high on confidence as he recently won the Estoril Open title by defeating Frances Tiafoe in the final. In his last tournament, he qualified for the main draw in Rome and won the opener, before falling to Alexander Zverev.

Lajovic Struggling in 2022
In a year, where he has seen more failures than successes, Dusan Lajovic will be happy with how he performed in Madrid this month. After coming through the qualifiers, Lajovic topped Borna Coric in the first round and then stunned Casper Ruud in the second to win consecutive matches for the first tie this season.
His run in Madrid ended with a defeat to Hubert Hurkacz in the third round, but that performance would have bolstered his confidence in an otherwise ordinary season, where he has a 7-15 record.
Can he turn things around in Roland Garros? Lajovic will be making his ninth consecutive main draw appearance at the French Open. His best was a fourth round appearance on debut in 2014, while last year he went out in the first round.
Baez v Lajovic Prediction and Tip
Both have had contrasting seasons so far. Baez is the in-form player and he should win the opening round match.
