Pablo Andujar v Marco Cecchinato Head to Head
They have never met at the tour level. But their only meeting at the Challenger level in 2018 ended with an Andujar win.

Andujar Has Struggled Recently
Pablo Andujar is 8-12 in Roland Garros and his best was a third round appearance in 2015.
The 36-year-old Spaniard, who has won all four of his ATP titles on clay and has a 49.8% win record on the surface, is 4-6 on clay this season. While he was good on South American clay, reaching the quarterfinals in Rio and winning a match in Buenos Aires, he hasn’t been at his best on European clay.
While he reached the semifinals of the Challenger in Marbella, Andujar has struggled at the tour-level, and is 1-4 in his past four main draw appearances.
The vastly experienced Spaniard, who finished runner-up in the doubles in Geneva last week, will be hoping to end a five-match losing streak (which includes a qualifying round defeat in Madrid) with a win in the opener.

Cecchinato Finds the Going Tough
After 11 consecutive losses across levels this season, Marco Cecchinato finally got his first wins of the season in Geneva.
The 29-year-old Italian beat Julian Lenz and Pablo Cuevas in the qualifying rounds before defeating Dominic Thiem in the opening round of the tournament. Kamil Majchrzak ended his run, but Cecchinato will be relieved to be coming into his favourite Grand Slam with at least a couple of wins behind him.
The Italian, who will be making his sixth appearance in Roland Garros, was a semifinalist at the Paris major in 2018 and reached the third round in both of the last two editions.
Clay is the only surface where he has won matches in double digits and has a 53-63 career record on the surface. It is also the surface where he has won all three of his tour-level titles. Although he is 1-4 on the surface this year, he will be hoping to regain form at the French Open, which has been his happing hunting tournament for him.
Andujar v Cecchinato Prediction and Tip
Given how Cecchinato has played throughout the season, Andujar will be the favourite in the opener. Expect the Spaniard to advance into the next round.
