Andrey Rublev v Federico Delbonis Head to Head
They played once before and it came at Wimbledon last year. Rublev won 4-6 6-4 6-1 6-2.

Rublev’s Anger and Winners
Andrey Rublev created drama when he slammed a ball so hard into his chair that it nearly smashed into a court sweeper after the first set in his match over Soonwoo Kwon. He apologised after the match but that anger suited him well for the rest of the match.
Rublev won the next three sets to move to the 2nd round where he will play another annoying player in Delbonis. It was a good effort from Rublev as he hit 52 winners! He only committed 28 errors so that is very good. He was aggressive as always hitting 15 aces and saving all 5 break points.
There were not many negatives for the man from Russia who is now a stunning 26-7 on the year and 8-3 on clay. He will be fine against Delbonis but he will need to find that anger in different ways.
If he does that, Delbonis won’t stand the chance because the difference in quality is staggering.

Delbonis Weathers the Storm Against Mannarino
Federico Delbonis was not having the best of years in 2022. His best highlight came when he sent Juan Martin Del Potro into retirement. Besides that, he just didn’t do much.
9-15 on the year and 7-10 on clay is far from his level on the surface last year. Luckily he got Adrian Mannarino in round one, a player who pretty much lost every clay match he has ever played. And even so, there were issues for Delbonis. He trailed 2-5 in the 2nd set but rallied to win it.
It was a decent effort but quite passive. He hit only 17 winners in the two-hour affair and that’s really not much. He was helped by Mannarino’s 33 unforced errors. He won’t get that kind of help from Rublev, at least not if the doesn’t put him under pressure.
He did serve well so that’s something which he can build some confidence from. He will need to do that again to have any sort of chance.
Rublev v Delbonis Prediction and Tip
So Rublev is the major favourite in this matchup and it’s pretty clear why. Delbonis played quite passively in round one and that’s not going to work. You have to put Rublev under pressure to help him self-destruct and Delbonis simply lacks the weapons to do so. Quick one here unless the Argentine finds his serve.
Tip: Rublev to win in straight sets: 1/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
