Alexander Zverev v Carlos Alcaraz Head to Head
This will be the fourth meeting between both players, with Zverev leading the head-t0-head 2-1. Their most recent meeting was at the ATP Masters 1000 final earlier this month won by Alcaraz convincingly in straight sets.
Zverev won their previous two meetings, both in 2021 at Acupulco and Vienna in straight sets.

Another Quarter-Final For Zverev
Number three seed Alexander Zverev was a semi-finalist at the 2021 French Open losing a tight five-setter to fellow Next Gen Stefanos Tsitsipas.
While 2022 did not get off to the best of starts for the German with a week one loss at the Aussie Open and unimpressive showings at the Sunshine Masters , Zverev hit form during the European clay swing making the final four or better at all three Masters 1000 tournaments on the surface.
Zverev made the most of an early first round against Sebastian Ofner of Austria but was down two sets to love in the next round against rising Argentine Sebastian Baez and the German faced match points in the decider for an epic five set win.
It was more routine sailing for the German against Brandon Nakashima, as he next faced Bernabe Zapata Miralles of Spain in the fourth round.
The Spaniard did not make it easy for Zverev as he came from a break down to force a tiebreak which was a tussle before Zverev won it 13-11. Another tricky second set followed with the German coming back from a break down for a 7-5 win.
It was a more routine third set for Zverev who won with a single break of serve 6-3 and booked a spot for himself in the final eight.

Alcaraz Clinical Against Khachanov
With Masters 1000 wins in Madrid and Miami along with the ATP 500 title in Barcelona, Alcaraz came in as one of the favorites for the title here in Paris.
A most unexpected five set battle came his way in the second round against compatriot and veteran Albert Ramos Vinalos where Alcaraz saved match point in the fourth to scrape through in an epic five set encounter displaying belief and stamina.
But either side of that it was clinical Alcaraz against Juan Ignacio Londero of Argentine as well as rising American Sebastian Korda.
Playing Karen Khachanov of Russia in the round of 16, the Spaniard was again off to an explosive start racing away to a 5-0 lead in the first set before closing out 6-1.
The second set started more even but not before long Alcaraz was up a break, winning the set 6-4 and taking a two sets to love lead.
It was another early break for the Spaniard in the third set, but a mix of some heavy hitting by Khachanov and loss of focus by Alcaraz saw him break back and the set tied at 3-3.
Another Alcaraz break followed for a 4-3 lead, but then it was a tricky two games where Alcaraz first held out a long service game for 5-3 and then Khachanov saved five match points to finally hold for 4-5 in his favor.
There was no further drama on the Spaniard’s serve as he closed the match in straight sets and moving on to getting all ready for the latter parts of the major.
Alcaraz v Zverev Prediction and Tip
Both players were down match point in their second round encounters but had to pull back to close out in five.
Zverev has not looked at his best always but has used his explosive groundstrokes when needed, especially in the round of 16.
Apart from the tussle with Ramos-Vinalos, Alcaraz has looked very much on top of things and not had a single close set since the second round.
Expect a good contest with the Spaniard prevailing in four sets for a first ever major semi-final.
Tip: Alcaraz to win in four sets: 13/5(Click Here to Bet with bet365)
