Jenson Brooksby v Jesper de Jong Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 21 year old American, and his Dutch opponent, who is one year older.

Although Brooksby was not brought up on grass, the fact that he reached the final in Newport Beach last year before losing to the now retired Kevin Anderson, suggests that he has the game to do well on the surface, even though he is better known as a hard court player.
He reached his second career final in Dallas in February, and then made the fourth round in both Indian Wells and Miami, but found clay more difficult, although he did make the third round in Rome.
His last match was a comprehensive first round defeat to Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay in Paris, so he should be well rested coming into this tournament.

Dutch Wildcard De Jong
De Jong, who has been given a wildcard to his home event, reached a career high singles ranking last month, in part due to the fact that he reached two Challenger finals last year, both on clay, winning in Kazakhstan, and finishing runner-up in Ecuador.
His successes in 2022 have been confined principally to doubles – with different partners he won tournaments in Bolivia and Italy. Again, they were both clay court events.
Not too far from Rosmalen, he made his main tour debut earlier this year in Rotterdam, in the doubles event with partner Sem Verbeek.
