Kamil Majchrzak v Dominik Koepfer Head to Head
They played once before and it came in Nottingham on grass in 2019. Koepfer won 6-3 6-4.

Kamil Majchrzak will have a solid chance at this event because he got a fairly decent round one matchup. The Polish player loves playing on grass because it suits his attacking playstyle so well. He’s 22-10 on the surface in his career.
His tennis is centred around his serve. If he hits it at a high rate he will be tough to beat and his forehand can do plenty of damage if you get the serve back. All of that works in his favour on grass hence why his good score overall.
He had a couple of solid weeks leading up to Roland Garros but lost in the opening round to the very solid Brandon Nakashima. He will look forward to the green surface having posted a 9-3 record on it last year. This draw is giving him a decent chance to do something of note.
It’s been a positive season for him so far with a 14-12 record and him entering the top 100. He can build upon that with a strong showing in Rosmalen but he will need to take care of the very tricky Koepfer who is coming back from injury.

Koepfer Back From Injury
Dominik Koepfer played only six matches in 2022 losing four of them but the German will be back to return to his best on grass. He’s a very tricky player who plays some of his best tennis in big matches. This won’t be that so maybe not a win?
It will be tricky for him. Getting back from injury is always tough especially when your last match came in March in Miami. Players struggle on a lot with coming back because it takes to time find your rhythm and grass is not a very good surface to do that.
Points are short, everything is quick and Kopeer will need to serve well to keep himself in this one. The Polish player will attack as soon as he can. Koepfer is fairly solid on the grass with a powerful lefty serve and forehand. His best will probably come at Wimbledon with this one just a warm-up for this.
Majchrzak v Koepfer Prediction and Tip
As much as I believe that Dominik is better at his best I don’t see how he can produce it in his first match after not playing since match. Grass is very punishing for such circumstances and if Majchrzak has his serve working it will be very tough.
Perhaps this ends up being a fairly close match. A lot will depend on Koepfer and his level but generally, I think Majchrzak should win this one comfortably. If they play again in a couple of weeks at Wimbledon perhaps it would be different but not this time.
