Maxime Cressy v Dominic Stricker Head to Head
They will be playing against each other for the first time.

Cressy Fizzles Out After a Bright Start
Maxime Cressy had a great start to the season, reaching his maiden ATP final in Melbourne, a quarterfinal in Sydney and the fourth round of the Australian Open. But since that start, the 25-year-old has won just one main draw match in nine tournaments.
Cressy brings a 10-12 season record to Stuttgart, where he will be making his debut. In his most recent tournament, Cressy fell in a close five-setter to Nikoloz Basilashvili in the opening round of the French Open.
The American doesn’t have a lot of grass-court experience. He is 2-1 on the surface on the tour and 0-2 on the Challenger Tour. Those two wins came in the first two rounds in Newport last year, where he fell in the quarterfinals to Jordan Thompson.
Ranked No. 67th in the world, Cressy will be hoping to find his feet quickly on grass in what will be his second tournament on the surface on the ATP Tour.

Stricker Looking for a Repeat of Last Year
Dominic Stricker has looked in good touch in the qualifying rounds in Stuttgart. The 19-year-old Swiss player took down Aslan Karatsev 7-6, 6-1 in the opening qualifying round and then made it to the main draw for a second consecutive year with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Mats Moraing in the second qualifying round.
Last year, Stricker had stunned Radu Albot and Hubert Hurkacz in the first two rounds to reach the semifinals in Stuttgart before falling to Sam Querrey.
The inexperienced left-hander, who also reached the last eight in Geneva last year, will be looking to match his 2021 performance once again this year.
He is 1-1 from two Challenger finals this season and will be playing his first main draw match of the season on the tour on Tuesday.
Stricker did play a Davis Cup game against Libya but lost in straight sets.
Having beating Karatsev in the qualifiers, the World No. 200 will be coming in with a lot of confidence and may give Cressy a tough fight on Tuesday.
Cressy v Stricker Prediction and Tip
With Cressy struggling, this is expected to be a close contest. Expect Stricker to put up a great fight but Cressy to edge through.
