Matteo Berrettini v Radu Albot Head to Head
There have been two previous matches played between these two, with Berrettinin winning both of them.
In the first in Gstaad, Berrettini carved out a straight-set victory while getting taken to three sets in Kitzbuhel that very year.

The last time Berrettini took to court was in March when he featured at the Indian Wells Masters before taking time out to get a surgery done on his hand.
While Berrettini had gotten back to training before the start of the French Open last month, he opted not to take part in the season’s second Grand Slam and will only return when he takes to court here in Stuttgart.
That lack of match practice could make things difficult for the Italian but the good news for him is he comes in on the back of a very solid grass court season last year.
Berrettini had won the Queen’s Club competition in 2021, his second ATP title and the first one grass and he proceeded to make it to the final at Wimbledon. And while he ran into a rampaging Novak Djokovic in that match, the confidence from those results should hold him in a good stead.
The start might be a tad slower but expect Berrettini to get his bearings right by the time the match is over.

Albot Surprise for Sousa
Albot had qualified for this event with a straight-set win over Oscar Moraing in the first round and then thanks to a withdrawal from Quentin Halys in the very first set of his second round qualifier.
Against Joao Sousa in the first main draw round though, Albot had gone in as a second favourite with bookmakers offering up to 2.02 for his win.
The 121st-ranked Albot, however, defied those odds to carve out a 6-2, 7-6 (7) win over Sousa, registering just his eighth career victory on grass.
In a match lasting an hour and 44 minutes, Albot was broken three times but managed five breaks of serves on his own to march on. His ability to make his opponent pay for his second serves – Sousa won just 32% of his second serve points – proved to be the difference.
Against a player as highly ranked as Berrettini but one returning from a long layoff, Albot could fancy a chance to make things work.

Berrettini is 3/10 to win this, and while we think he might struggle to start off, he could still come away with a straight-set win. The more straightforward bet could be the games in the first set.
