Andreescu Is 1-4 on Grass Courts
Ever since winning the U.S. Open in 2019, Bianca Andreescu has struggled with injuries and this year has been no different as the Canadian continued to struggle with injuries in the first half of the season.
The 21-year-old began her season on clay in Stuttgart and brings a 7-4 record to Berlin. Her best this year was a run to the quarterfinals in Rome.
Andreescu has played very little on grass over her career and has a 1-4 record on the surface. Her only win on grass came over Christina McHale in the first round in Eastbourne last year.
She has lost both her opening round matches at Wimbledon, but will hope that her stats look different after the end of the grass swing this year.

Siniakova Can Be Dangerous on Grass
Katerina Siniakova won her fourth doubles Grand Slam title earlier this year. But the doubles World no. 3 has recorded more losses than wins in singles this year.
Sinikova comes to Berlin with a 5-9 season record in the main draws. The 26-year-old Czech’s best performance this year came in Miami, where she won two matches to reach the third round. In the other tournaments she has struggled to win two matches in a row.
Siniakova will be playing in Berlin for the first time. She has a decent record on grass and was a finalist at Bad Homburg last year. Overall, she has an 18-17 on grass courts, including qualifying rounds.
Given her experience on grass, the World no. 65 could knock out Andreescu in the opener.
Andreescu v Siniakova Prediction and Tip
Siniakova has a lot more experience than Andreescu on grass. Expect a solid contest, with the Czech taking the Canadian to three sets, but eventually Andreescu should prevail.
Tip: Andreescu to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
