Nikoloz Basilashvili v Oscar Otte

On the one hand is Georgian Basilashvili, who has this habit of putting together a strong set of results and then falling apart at other times in a heap. At the other side is the local lad, Oscar Otte, who has found himself getting the kind of results he would have liked earlier in his career.

A semifinalist last week in Stuttgart, Otte registered a straight-set win over Miomir Kecmanovic despite going in at 1/1 to win it. It had another tie-breaker in it, his seventh in eight sets!

Basilashvili went one better, beating Andrey Rublev but against Otte’s strong serving things could be slightly different. It can be expected to be a brutal match that sees at least one tie-breaker yet again and probably even three sets. Backing Otte to carve out a win here.

Tip: Otte to win: 1/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Stan Wawrinka v Tommy Paul

Wawrinka has been in and out of the circuit because of his injury issues and while his prime might be past him, he can still exert the kind of pressure that a top 50 player could. This was on display in his first round win over Frances Tiafoe where he fought back multiple times before winning in three tie-breakers.

He now faces another American in Tommy Paul, one who doesn’t get too flustered too easily, and one who has sent Denis Shapovalov (23/50 odds on favourite to win their opener) out of the competition.

Which is we believe this could be a bit of a slugfest with neither player willing to give an inch and the match edging into a third set. Expecting a three-setter.

Tip: Three sets in the match: 6/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Jelena Ostapenko v Dayana Yastremska

This can be expected to be a feisty, first encounter which goes the distance between Ostapenko and Yastremska, two players who have been known to fight tooth and nail especially when they get their competitive juices as a result of a trigger.

Ostapenko starts a favourite at 3/5 but one cannot rule out the prospects of an upset here. To do that, however, Yastremska might need to hang on to the fight even if she falls behind and that’s what we think could happen.

Expecting a three-setter or a hard-fought straight-set win that could go either way.

Tip: Over 21.5 games in the match: 9/10 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
