Daniil Medvedev v Roberto Bautista Agut

So they played last week in Halle and at this very stage of the competition and Daniil Medvedev had come out firing all cylinders, winning it in straight sets.

That, however, was his first win over Bautista Agut in four meetings and that is also a huge factor here with the Spaniard having had his way on grass to go with it. The difference between the two, however, could be the motivation levels.

Medvedev cannot play at Wimbledon, so it’s about getting himself a win in this tournament and moving out of grass. His opponent, on the other hand, will have his eyes on the bigger Wimbledon prize already and other than using this competition for warm-up, has not a lot of stake left in it.

Expect Medvedev to win in three.

Tip: Medvedev to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Daria Kasatkina v Bianca Andreescu

Andreescu is much-improved on grass this season but had come into it having won just one match on this surface. And even now, it remains to be seen how she goes up against higher-ranked and better-pedigreed opponents.

That includes someone like Kasatkina, who is 4-1 on grass this year, having gotten herself a couple of solid scalps already.

There could be a tussle here but Kasatkina can be expected to eke out a victory, especially now that she won’t be playing at Wimbledon and has all her attention focussed on this competition.

Tip: Kasatkina to win: 3/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Cameron Norrie v Maxime Cressy

Norrie had made a disappointing start to the grass court season with an opening defeat in Queen’s last week and after a first round bye, it took him a quick workout on court to finally win a match yesterday. He eased past Brandon Nakashima in the second round.

And he now takes on an opponent who has already sent out Reilly Opelka and Daniel Evans – so solid players in their own right.

So while Norrie’s world number 12 should still be a favourite, the 60th-ranked Cressy has the momentum with him and could put him in a spot. Norrie’s confidence from his form this season – he has two ATP titles already – should help him pull through.

Tip: Norrie to win: 1/2 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
