Jelena Ostapenko v Camila Giorgi Head to Head
The tally stands at 1-1; Ostapenko won their last encounter in the 2017 Wimbledon third round in straight sets.

Ostapenko Storms Past Kalinina
Jelena Ostapenko, age 25, needed just an hour and 10 minutes to dismiss the Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina in the quarterfinal. She took the match 6-3, 6-2 – courtesy of eight aces and an impressive 74% first-service win rate.
Seeded eighth for the tournament, the Latvian has had a good run so far in Eastbourne. She has enjoyed a relatively easy campaign in comparison to her fellow competitors. In her second-round opening match, she defeated Ajla Tomljanovic 6-4, 6-4 and followed it with a 6-3, 0-0 win over Madison Keys (the American retired in the second set citing injury).
This marks the first time since February that the world number 14 has reached a semis on the tour.
She was on a roll with late-round stints in St. Petersburg and Doha, and a title run in Dubai. Having defeated a handful of big guns in these tournaments – notably the likes of Iga Swiatek, Garbine Muguruza, Amanda Anisimova, Barbora Krejcikova, Simona Halep, and Petra Kvitova, Jelena has certainly staked her claim on the circuit.
In comparison to these, Giorgi is certainly a different league altogether. That said, the Italian cannot be underestimated.

Giorgi Yet to Drop a Set
Camila Giorgi finds herself in one of her biggest matches of the season in the Eastbourne 500. The run is not entirely surprising from the number 12 seed, seeing that she fared well in the preceding grass events in Nottingham (round two) and Birmingham (quarterfinal).
With this momentum and a bye into round two, Camila moved past the likes of Rebecca Marino (7-5, 6-4), Garbine Muguruza (7-5, 6-3), and Viktoriya Tomova (6-2, 6-1).
It is a good turnaround from Giorgi who went without a single WTA win through February-May – up until the Roland Garros where she reached round four.
Admittedly, the 30-year-old (now ranked World No. 26) is not the most consistent player on the circuit. Her tally has now improved only to 13-10 with her last semifinal coming in Tenerife 2021.
However, Giorgi has the ability to surprise – as evident from her title feat in the Canadian Open last year.
Ostapenko v Giorgi Prediction and Tip
Ostapenko is the clear favourite here but she may face stiff resistance from the Italian.
Nonetheless, given her superior pedigree and top-tier experience, she should get this one ultimately and make it to the final.
Tip: Ostapenko to Win, Over 20.5: 11/8 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
