Wimbledon Debut for Brooksby
Brooksby will be making his Wimbledon debut on Monday, and it is a mark of how far he has come in the 18 months that he does so as a seeded player, although he has benefitted from the banning of the Russian and Belarussian players this year.
He did make the fourth round of the US Open last year, but his two other Grand Slam appearances at the French Open have both ended in first round defeats.
The American may not have any great expectations of himself this time round, as the only match he has won on grass was in the first round in Rosmalen, where he beat a lowly Dutch wildcard.
His record since then on the surface is played three, lost three, with his most recent defeat a straight sets defeat to Jack Draper of Great Britain in the first round in Eastbourne.

Kukushkin Made Fourth Round Three Years Ago
Back in 2019, Kukushkin reached the fourth round at Wimbledon, his best ever showing in a Grand Slam tournament. And he also had made the third round five years previous to that.
He is a winner on the ATP tour, but that was back in St Petersburg in 2010, and his last final was more than three years go.
With his world ranking now having slipped to 160, he was forced to go through the rigours of qualifying this year. Lorenzo Giustino of Italy was brushed aside, but the German veteran Philipp Kohlschreiber was a much more difficult proposition, and he had to come from a set down to beat him.
He booked his place in the main draw with victory over Zsombor Piros of Hungary, although once again he dropped a set in doing so.
Brooksby v Kukushkin Prediction and Tip
Despite the big difference in their world rankings, this match has the capacity to produce a surprise. Not only is Brooksby making his Wimbledon debut, but he is finding it hard to adapt to grass. Kukushkin has already played three tough qualifying matches, and will be up for the challenge.
Tip: Kukushkin to win: 5/4 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
