After having struggled through most part of the previous season and after making a slow start to this season, Garcia looks to be coming into her own in recent times.
And nothing can drive home that point more closely than her showing at Bad Homburg in a tournament played on grass in the week preceding Wimbledon.
The former world number four, who had made it to the second round at both the grass court competitions earlier in Nottingham and Birmingham, stormed through five wins in Bad Homburg to lift her first WTA title since 2019.
And Garcia was forced to fight tooth and nail for her wins too. Three of them, including the final against Bianca Andreescu, needed three sets, and there were three matches which had tie-breakers involved too.
In fact in that final against Andreescu, Garcia had gone in as 7/3 underdog and then proceeded to lose the first set. For her to come back from there and win it in three speaks volumes about her grittiness, something that Garcia would like a lot of in a tournament she has been bundled out in round one last three times.

Miyazaki Gets Wildcard
Japanese born, Miyakazi managed to get a British citizenship only earlier this year but it was a timely switch as she then went on to claim a wildcard to make it to the main draw here at Wimbledon.
The 26-year-old had never even played at the Wimbledon qualifiers before this, so this first round appearance at the season’s third Grand Slam does make it a crowning moment of her tennis career so far.
As far as her performances on grass are concerned, Miyazaki had been knocked out by fellow Briton Sonay Kartal in the first round in Surbiton but did manage to qualify for the Nottingham Open. What more, Miyazaki then stunned Magdalena Frech to win her opener before going down to Beatriz Haddad Maia.
The question here is Miyazaki can push the Had Homburg winner in this opener, with the hope of Garcia being exhausted from having played all of last week.
Garcia v Miyazaki Prediction and Tip
Garcia is an overwhelming favourite here but the one factor that could go against her is her lack of rest in the weeks preceding Wimbledon. Can she still come through in straight sets?
