Yulia Putintseva v Alize Cornet Head to Head
Alize Cornet owns a commanding 3-0 lead over Putintseva in their series. However, their last meeting took place five seasons ago, so the head-to-head is slightly redundant in this matchup.

Putintseva Falls in Eastbourne
Yulia Putintsevva did not have everything going for her in her most recent outing at the Eastbourne International. The fiery Kazakh lost to Ukraine’s Anhelina Kalinina in three sets in the Round of 16, meaning a second-round victory over Sorribes Tormo remains her only match win on the surface coming to Wimbledon.
Putintseva is currently 17-11 for the season, but in her two Grand Slam appearances this season, she has made an early exit.
At the Australian Open Putintseva was beaten by Harmony Tan in the first round, while at the French Open, she lost to Italy’s Camila Giorgi in the second round.
The 27-year-old has just about done enough to warrant a seeding spot for Wimbledon, but she has received a harrowing first-round draw against the unseeded dangerous floater in Alize Cornet.

Cornet Makes Bad Homburg Semis
Alize Cornet enjoyed a fine week at the Bad Homburg Open. She took out a trio of tricky opponents including the tournament’s defending champion Angelique Kerber in the quarterfinals.
Cornet would then play in a titanic semifinal against countrywoman Caroline Garcia where she lost narrowly in three sets, in a contest she spurned a match point.
But defeat aside, Cornet will get a few extra days to recharge and acclimatize herself to the Wimbledon’s pristine grass, and not she will have trouble adjusting to it.
The Frenchwoman famously reached the Round of 16 at the event in 2014, scoring a stunning win over seven-time champion Serena Williams.
Putintseva v Cornet Prediction and Tip
If Cornet is fully fit and refreshed after an arduous week in Bad Homburg, she should be too strong for the fiery Kazakh.
Tip: Cornet to win: 4/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
