Djokovic Struggles to Get Past Kwon
A Djokovic win over Soon-woo Kwon looked to be as foregone a conclusion as the night following the day. And yet, what wasn’t expected was the manner in which Djokovic to register that victory.
The 20-time Grand Slam winner, Djokovic ended up conceding a break of serve in the first set and saw the same thing repeat in the second set as well. The difference between the two sets was the manner in which Djokovic came back from that in the first which he wasn’t able to in the second.
Djokovic then faced a break-point in the third set as well but once he had warded off that storm, the former world number one completed a four-set win over Kwon.
What the Serb will now hope for is a more routine second victory against a player who had never won a match here at Wimbledon before this edition.

Kokkinakis Registers Shock Win
Kamil Majchrzak isn’t the biggest name on grass but he still had started out his first round match against Thanasi Kokkinakis as a 3/4 favourite to come through.
Instead Kokkinakis slammed down the brakes and zoomed past his opponent in straight sets in a match that lasted two hours and 23 minutes.
No breaks of serve punctuated the first set, which meant it went into a tiebreaker that Kokkinakis to take a set lead.
Very quickly later, Kokkinakis snatched himself two breaks of serve to go 2-0 up and while they exchanged an early break apiece, it was Kokkinakis who had the last laugh when he broke his opponent in the 12th game to clinch the tie.
Can he test out the 20-time Grand Skam winner?
